Tzeentch's champion is as unique as expected in Total War: Warhammer III
While the armies of chaos have taken a secondary role in previous installments in Total War: Warhammer, the presence of the Ruinous Powers and their daemons is one of the main appeals of Total War: Warhammer III. The main campaigns in the game focus specifically on the conflict between the forces of Order and Chaos, but the essence of the Chaos Gods also implies that they fight against each other for power, following their own twisted schemes. In such a scenario, the importance of the Champions of Chaos DLC is quite notable, as the addition of several legendary lords further differentiates each of the daemonic factions.
After introducing the champions of Nurgle and Slaanesh, it's Tzeentch's turn, and the new legendary lord that follows his guidance is as special as you could expect from the Lord of change. In fact, it's more than a single champion.
Two champions in one
Vilitch the Curseling is an imposing presence that can perform any role on the battlefield. This daemonic creature is born from the fusion of a pair of twins. The main body is of a bulky marauder able to withstand physical punishment and obliterate his enemies in melee combat with massive strikes. One would think that a monster like that may be weak to magic, but Vilitch also has a secondary body sprouting from its back. It's a malformed creature capable of bending the winds of magic to its will.
Vilitch, also known as the Twisted Twin, receives a boost to its spell mastery and melee power as long as it's fighting or casting spells. It's a huge nuisance for other lords as he steals 15% of the experience earned by them, can easily use teleport stance to reposition armies, and even turns a percentage of friendly casualties into souls to power the faction.
The next legendary lord to be announced is Khorne's, and it should be revealed next week, along with a cinematic video and a gameplay video that should follow shortly after. These four foul creatures will change the Total War: Warhammer III panorama and add a wider variety of options, especially for those that prefer to side with the Chaos Gods.
The Champions of Chaos DLC pack will launch on August 23, the same day as the Immortal Empires free campaign mode for Total War: Warhammer III.
