Yakuza Kiwami 3: A man in a suit delivers a fiery kick in a street fight, surrounded by buildings and neon signs.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties brings together two unforgettable tales of loyalty, power, and survival in Japan's criminal underworld. This definitive package combines a fully remade classic with an all-new story, offering hours of intense action, gripping drama, and unforgettable characters.

Step into the shoes of Kazuma Kiryu in Yakuza Kiwami 3, a full remake of one of the series' most beloved entries. Now managing an orphanage in Okinawa, Kiryu's peaceful life is disrupted when he is pulled back into the dangerous Tokyo underworld. Featuring two distinct fighting styles, the legendary Dragon of Dojima and weapon-based Ryukyu style, players will experience visceral combat across stunningly recreated locales, from sun-soaked Okinawan streets to the neon-lit alleys of Kamurocho.

Once the Kiryu story concludes, dive into Dark Ties, a brand-new adventure following Yoshitaka Mine, a former startup founder navigating the complex world of organized crime. Dark Ties explores Mine's quest for identity, loyalty, and human connection as he struggles to survive and rise in a world full of betrayal and ambition. The game introduces a fresh combat system inspired by Shoot-Boxing, offering a different but equally thrilling combat experience.

Both games feature richly detailed environments, side activities, and mini-games that make the world feel alive. From casual diversions like karaoke and arcade games to story-driven side quests, there is always something new to explore. Together, these experiences create a sweeping narrative of protagonists walking vastly different paths, their fates intertwined by the shadow of the yakuza.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties delivers a complete, immersive experience. Master deep combat mechanics, explore vibrant worlds, and uncover stories of honor, betrayal, and redemption in one extraordinary package.

The Original Yakuza was the worst in the main line line up. It needed a remake, but to it doesn't need to change the whole story of the franchise to be rewritten. If you love the franchise then this is an awesome game. Just maybe not as a starting point for new players.

I love how this game develops adult themes while delivering unbridled action. Each character has clear motivations, and there are emotionally charged moments that I've rarely experienced in other action titles. The balance between narrative and gameplay seems to be very well achieved.

I don't know the saga very well but if they have made the game worse, it would have been better not to have released it. The good thing is that they are bringing them out in Spanish but I think it is a translation made by AI.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 is very close to being the best way to play Yakuza 3 Dark Ties. It's overall very good, with a fun side mode, but some baffling decisions by RGG ruin the experience.

Playing Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties can be a rewarding experience from start to finish. The plot seems to grab from the first hour and each chapter can add layers of excitement, mystery and character connection. After trying the demo, the combat gives a sense that it has a fair learning curve, with visually stunning combos and constant challenges.

What I appreciated most about this game when testing the demo is how it takes classic elements of the Yakuza saga and enhances them with new nuances. Each mission feels like it has a personality of its own, and the battles, while frantic, never feel random or pointless. The way Dark Ties delves into characters that were previously just props demonstrates an exceptional writing job. On a narrative and playable level, it looks like this title can bring many hours of fun and satisfaction.

I had a good time with Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, despite a few shortcomings. The remake does a good job of modernizing Yakuza 3, with cleaner graphics and a livelier world, even if some of the scenery remains a little dated. The combat system is more fluid and dynamic, with a variety of styles and cool Heat Actions. I love the diversity of activities: between side quests, karaoke, mini-games and running the orphanage, there's never a dull moment. The exploration of Kamurocho and Okinawa remains pleasant, full of little details. The story is pleasant to follow, showing a more human Kiryu, torn between his life at the Okinawa orphanage and the tensions of the yakuza world. Dark Ties brings a darker atmosphere and more nervous gameplay, which I found interesting. The game's lifespan is solid if you take into account the ancillary content.

The main story of Yakuza Kiwami 3 remains solid and emotional, with Kazuma Kiryu facing up to his responsibilities and his struggles to protect those he loves. Fighting has been upgraded: more dynamic, less frustrating than in the original. Beautiful reimagined environments (Okinawa, Tokyo) thanks to the Dragon Engine. Mini-games and side activities (orphanage, cooking, fishing...) add typical series content.
