The game follows Coen, a cursed warrior with the ability to shift between human and vampire forms depending on the time of day. During daylight, he fights using swords and sorcery, navigating a dangerous world through more traditional RPG mechanics. Once night falls, however, he transforms into a Dawnwalker, gaining supernatural abilities like teleportation, stealth movement, and enhanced agility. This day-night cycle introduces a unique rhythm to exploration and combat, encouraging players to adapt their tactics to the time of day.

Beyond combat, The Blood of Dawnwalker emphasizes player choice and freedom. Drawing inspiration from games like Breath of the Wild and Majora’s Mask, players can pursue the main storyline early or take time to build their strength.
