Creative Assembly shows the first Chaos Dwarfs gameplay

Following the recent reveal of the release date for the Total War: Warhammer III - Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC, Creative Assembly has released a new video showing the new faction in action. In the video, you can watch one of the iconic leaders of the Chaos Dwarfs, Astragoth Ironhand, High Priest of Hashut, as he commands an army during the first steps of the campaign in Total War: Warhammer III. Not only you can see how they really fight on the battlefield, but also discover their unique abilities and economic system.

A well-oiled destruction engine

The legendary lord uses an exoskeleton that lets him fight with his half-petrified body. He is capable of delivering devastating blows while moving across the battlefield at great speed, but he can also unleash terrifying fire-based spells with his sorcerous powers. The Chaos Dwarfs under his command boast impressive ranged firepower with their blunderbusses, while the Bull Centaurs can trample any opposition with their mighty hooves. The Chaos Dwarfs also make use of lesser Greenskin as shock troops and cannon fodder to gain an advantage in battle

On the tactic map, the campaign also reflects the internal struggle for power inside the faction with the Tower of Zhar. The Chaos Dwarfs' seat of power is governed by a conclave and it will grant you additional bonuses that you can unlock if you are strong enough to claim your dominance. 

Chaos Dwarfs have a unique economic system that it's focused on the industry. Building outposts, factories, and outposts to fuel their war effort. Labor is as valuable as gold for these tiny tyrants, as it translates into more destructive weapons, powerful artillery, and increased battle power at the end of the production line.

Overall, the Total War: Warhammer III - Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC brings many novelties to the game, as well as another challenging faction that you will have to face if you decide to play on the Immortal Empires campaign.
