Final Fantasy VII Rebirth looks great on Steam Deck
Square Enix has found a gold mine in making remakes of Final Fantasy VII. The size of the original game made the developers split the remake into three episodes, which is something that didn't sound very good when it was first revealed. However, the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake cleared all doubts over the system due to its impressive graphics, a new and more dynamic approach to combat, and a story that was true to the original even though it introduced some novelties. The spirit of the original title was kept intact while offering a modern experience that soon caught the eye of many fans. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will continue the epic story of Cloud and his friends after they leave behind the city of Midgard, and it promises to be as good as its predecessor if not better, also on PC.
Ready for Steam Deck
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be playable next week on PC. The title was released last year as a PS5 exclusive but it will be accessible to PC players very soon. The system requirements to play the game on your computer were revealed recently and they were not too demanding on the lower end. The game will be available to play via Epic Games Store and Steam. However, it was unclear if it was compatible with Valve's handheld platform, Steam Deck, at least until now. A short video published on Final Fantasy VII's official account on X shows Final Fantasy VII Rebirth running on Steam Deck. It looks awesome despite the limitations of the portable platform.
