Black Myth: Wukong is rumored to have more than 80 bosses

It's been a long time since the Chinese developer Game Science first announced Black Myth: Wukong with a 13-minute pre-alpha gameplay video on August 20, 2020. Within one day, the video had nearly 2 million views on YouTube and 10 million views on Bilibili. Black Myth: Wukong is an action role-playing game based on the classical 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West, featuring gameplay similar to the "Souls" series.

When Black Myth: Wukong was first announced, many people didn't even believe in the existence of this game because the pre-alpha gameplay video of Black Myth: Wukong had such impressive graphics and innovative gameplay. Moreover, the game came from a relatively unknown Chinese developer, Game Science.

By 2024, after going through many development stages, Black Myth: Wukong finally has a confirmed release date, even launching with full ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 3.5. It won't be long before fans can experience this amazing game. Recently, Game Science released a brand-new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong at the WeGame Event, which has further increased the anticipation among fans:

However, the most surprising news comes from leaker Lunatic Ignus, who has accurately shared game details before, revealing that Black Myth: Wukong will have more than 80 bosses:

According to this leaker, Black Myth: Wukong promises a varied combat experience with over 160+ enemy types and 80+ bosses. Players will also enjoy a New Game Plus mode and multiple endings, which will enhance replay value. Additionally, Black Myth: Wukong will offer a slightly easier difficulty level, which may attract gamers who enjoy challenging gameplay but prefer a less punishing experience compared to FromSoftware’s Soulsborne games.

Though the information shared by leaker Lunatic Ignus sounds very appealing, remember that it has not been verified. Many people have expressed skepticism in the comments section, mainly questioning the "160 different enemy types" claim. Is it truly 160 different enemy types or 20 variations of 8 enemy types? Perhaps we will have to wait until the game is released to find out.

Black Myth: Wukong is launching on August 20 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series S|X, and PC. Make sure to use our price comparison tool to get the best deals when pre-ordering Black Myth: Wukong.
