Black Myth: Wukong confirmed to sold 20 million units in its first month

It has already been a month since the release of Black Myth: Wukong, and by now, many players have likely completed the game. The same presentation also revealed that Black Myth: Wukong had reached 3 million concurrent players across all platforms. According to SteamDB, the game saw 2.4 million concurrent players on PC in August. Since Game Science has not released Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox yet, the remaining 600,000 players are from Playstation 5. This indicates that 80% of Black Myth: Wukong 's player base is on PC.

A recent rumor from Daniel Camilo, who had previously reported the 20 million sales milestone, suggests that Black Myth: Wukong's DLC is expected to release during the Lunar New Year. In the same tweet, Camilo also noted that Black Myth: Wukong's challenging gameplay might make it difficult for the game to maintain its large player base, particularly in China, where players could lose interest in the upcoming DLC.
