Tekken 8 displays Kazuya's devil gene in battle

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Tekken 8 focusing on Kazuya Mishima, one of the most iconic fighters in the series. Present in it since the first game made its debut, the character appears with an even more striking and intimidating air than in the past, mixing old and new moves that make him a great threat. Previously they shared the gameplay trailer of Nina.

In the video shared by the developer, it's possible to see the fighter using several new combos to finish Jin Kazama. Among the elements that stand out is that, in Tekken 8, it will be possible to activate the character's devil gene to transform him while a match is in progress. In addition, the Kazuya's moveset had a total revamp, giving the father of the year a new lease on life.

Katsuhiro Harada, the game's producer, stated that in Tekken 8, players will be able to choose between the Arcade control, which represents the traditional commands of the series, or special controls that include simplified combos and combat shortcuts.

Harada believes that, over time, players who opt for the special controls should switch to the classic control to take advantage of even more combo options during the fight. The simplified control aims to make life easier for players new to the game and allow them to take on more skilled players on the same level.

Tekken 8 continues the tragic saga of the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines and their world-shaking father-son feuds. This latest saga begins where Tekken 7 left off, with a world desolated by the devastating war between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. After suffering what appears to be a defeat by Kazuya, Jin faces his own fate. His mother, Jun Kazama, shows up after a long absence to try to turn the tide in this blood rivalry.
