Tekken 8 reveals its final character

Since Tekken 8 was announced we have witnessed an endless stream of reveal videos showing a wide range of characters. From iconic characters seen in previous titles in the series like Nina Williams to newcomers like Azucena, the new installment will feature a plethora of characters for you to choose from. Bandai Namco has revealed the last one to complete an impressive roster that may be expanded later via DLC. As it is right now, the initial selection of characters offers you a lot of variety when it comes to fighting styles, and you will surely find one that fits your preferences.

Reina completes Tekken 8's roster

If you were expecting the last fighter in Tekken 8 to be someone familiar, you may be disappointed to know that it's a brand-new character that appears for the first time in the series. According to Tekken 8 director Kohei Ikeda, Reina "employs an acrobatic fighting style rooted in Taido, using swift and brutal techniques such as knife-hand strikes, eye pokes, and scratching that reflect her character."

As you can see in the video, Reina has a unique fighting style and can use movements that allow her to close the gap between her and an opponent in an instant. She is especially effective when fighting near walls, with graceful movements that she can combine with devastating strikes to overwhelm her enemies.

With Reina, Tekken 8 will feature a total of 32 different characters at launch. The release of the game has been finally confirmed by Bandai Namco. You will be able to fight to become the next champion of the King of Iron Fist Tournament from January 26, 2024, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
