Palworld’s huge 1.0 update is almost here, so get ready to rebuild
Grab your spheres, feed your Pals, and maybe apologize to the ones still working at the stone pit, because Palworld is finally getting ready for its full 1.0 release. Pocketpair has confirmed that Palworld will leave Early Access on July 10, 2026, marking a huge milestone for one of the wildest survival games of the last few years.
The 1.0 update is not just a tiny “congrats, we changed the number” patch either. Pocketpair’s reveal teased new Pals, new regions, a mysterious new threat, and the long-awaited World Tree, which has been sitting there like the biggest “come back later” sign in gaming. For players who have been exploring, building, crafting, battling, and running slightly questionable Pal-powered factories since Early Access, this sounds like the update that finally ties a lot of Palworld’s biggest ideas together.
Your old save is safe, but a fresh start might be better
One of the biggest questions, of course, is save data. The good news is that players do not need to wipe their old worlds when Palworld 1.0 arrives. Your bases, your Pals, your hard-earned progress, and your lovingly chaotic survival empire are not being thrown into the digital volcano. Pocketpair wants to respect the time players have already spent in the game, which is great news for anyone with hundreds of hours invested.
However, the developers are also strongly suggesting that players start a new world for the best 1.0 experience. And honestly, that makes sense. With major changes, new systems, new content, and possible reworks across the game, jumping in with an older save could mean missing part of the redesigned progression. Starting fresh will probably make the whole update feel smoother, cleaner, and more natural. It may also help players avoid some weird old-save bugs, glitches, or awkward “why is my base floating inside a mountain now?” moments.
That does not mean your old world is useless. Veteran players can still continue their adventure if they want. But for anyone who wants to experience Palworld 1.0 the way Pocketpair seems to intend, a fresh start might be the best excuse to gather the squad again and rebuild from zero.
If you have been waiting for the right moment to jump into Palworld, this is looking like it. Make sure to use our price comparison tool to find the best prices for Palworld and get ready for the full 1.0 adventure.
