Mortal Kombat 1 reveals Homelander in a brutal video

Developer NetherRealm is about to release the fifth character in the first DLC pack for Mortal Kombat 1. The latest installment in the popular fighting series was reinforced with the addition of Omni-Man, the iconic character from the Invincible animation series, and Quan Chi, the incredibly powerful necromancer from the Mortal Kombat series. Peacemaker and Ermac followed them, and now it's the turn of Homelander, the sociopath and narcissist leader of The Seven in the TV series The Boys. This formidable villain will soon join the roster of fighters available in Mortal Kombat 1 and the creators of the game have released a new video that offers a proper look at his abilities in combat.

Patriotic narcissism

Not only Homelander is a force of nature capable of destroying the most powerful opponents on a whim, but he is also a brutal sociopath that does not care about obliterating humans. In Mortal Kombat 1 will be a force to be reckoned with, especially with his signature move, which implies melting down his opponents with the beans he can shoot from his eyes. Of course, NetherRealm couldn't let pass the opportunity of turning this into a brutal fatality. The character from The Boys is represented in great detail, including his strange obsession with drinking breast milk. He surely will be a great addition to a game that revels in violence and brutality to deliver an intense fighting experience.

Unfortunately, there is no release date confirmed for the Homelander DLC but those who own the Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack will have access to it as soon as it's available for no extra cost. After him, Takeda Takahashi is the only character left in the pack and it should arrive sometime this year. It's quite likely that NetherRealm will release more fighters in the future.
