Mortal Kombat 1 removes alternative skins from DLC packs
Plenty of fans awaited the arrival of Mortal Kombat 1 with expectation. NetherRealms Studios has managed to release a title that delivers quite an exciting experience on most platforms and now it's focused on creating additional content for the game. Even though Mortal Kombat 1 features a large cast of fighters for you to choose your favourite one, there is always room for more. Mortal Kombat games are known for introducing plenty of playable characters post-launch via DLC and there are several ones already on the way for the latest installment in the series.
NetherRealms Studios has recently released a new video showing Omni-Man fighting against other characters already available in the game. He is the first one in a list of fighters included in an upcoming DLC pack featuring popular crossover characters from popular TV series.
Controversy strikes
Alongside the reveal of this video, Mortal Kombat 1 has become the centre of controversy regarding the contents included in its character DLC packs. The fans of the game received additional skins to change the look of their characters as part of the contents in these packs in previous games, but these will be missing in Mortal Kombat 1. Now, the community of players that supports the game fears that all these skins will have to be purchased separately.
There is no official statement on this matter yet, but NetherRealms may find itself with a very hot potato in its hands as Mortal Kombat players usually love to change the appearance of their characters. Still, the release of the first DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 will be available soon, and we hope that the controversy about the skins gets solved as soon as possible. After all, we are talking about one of the best games in the series and players shouldn't be worrying about such trivialities.
Remember that if you are yet to immerse in the reboot of one of the most popular fighting video game series of all time, our comparator is the best source of cheap Mortal Kombat 1 steam keys for all platforms.
