Halo: The Master Chief Collection arrives on PC

Halo: The Master Chief Collection arrives on PC

Originally released in 2014 on Xbox One, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a compilation of several games from the Halo series, published by Microsoft Studios. Rumor has run for some time that this compilation could be available on PC soon. The speculation now comes to an end, since the port on PC of Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been confirmed during the last Inside Xbox. No release date has been communicated for the moment, but we know its contents:

  • Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
  • Halo 2 Anniversary
  • Halo 3
  • Halo 3: ODST (Campaign)
  • Halo 4
  • Halo Reach

Another good news: Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available on the Microsoft Store but also on Steam. Even if we do not know yet when the compilation will arrive on our computers, we know, however, that the games will not all be available at the same time. Indeed, Microsoft announced that the release of the games will follow the chronological order of the saga. So Halo Reach will open the ball, followed by Halo 2, Halo 3, the Halo 3: ODST campaign, and finally Halo 4. On Xbox One, Halo Reach will also be added to the collection. Players already owning The Master Chief Collection will have free access to the campaign and multimode. However, Firefight mode will only be included for players with the Xbox Game Pass, and it should take the form of a DLC which price is still unknown for the rest of the players. Finally, Halo Reach will be remastered for the occasion to shoot in 4K. Here's the full announcement at Inside Xbox on March 12th:

To keep players waiting for news of the next installment, Halo Infinite, that was announced at E3 2018 which will also be available on PC, and which we hope to have more news about it at the next edition of E3 in June.
