FromSoftware reveals the launch trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign

Yesterday, FromSoftware premiered the official launch trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign, offering an electrifying first look at its dark, immersive world and emphasizing a bold shift toward cooperative gameplay. Slated for release on May 30, 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign expands the beloved Elden Ring universe with a new standalone title that breaks away from the original's open-world format in favor of a session-based, team-driven experience.

Set in the mysterious realm of Limveld, Elden Ring Nightreign casts players as Nightfarers, heroes with distinct combat styles and roles, who are tasked with vanquishing a formidable antagonist known as the Nightlord. Players team up in groups of three to navigate dynamic, roguelike maps filled with evolving threats. Each session spans two in-game days, challenging teams to adapt to increasingly hostile environments and culminating in dramatic boss encounters that demand coordination and strategy.

The official launch trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign is now available on Bandai Namco's official channels and offers a preview of the game's setting and character classes. 

Elden Ring Nightreign allows players to choose from eight distinct classes such as Raider and Ironeye, each offering unique abilities and tactical options. Although character progression resets at the start of each new session, a persistent system of relics provides long-term enhancements, allowing players to refine their playstyles over time. This blend of roguelike progression and RPG depth introduces a fresh layer of replayability to the Elden Ring formula.

While the game focuses on three-player squads, the development team has acknowledged feedback about the absence of a two-player mode. FromSoftware has confirmed that they are exploring the possibility of adding this feature post-launch, based on community demand.

Elden Ring Nightreign will be available on all major platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
