Enshrouded: 1.0 version release date announced

Developer Keen Games has officially confirmed that Enshrouded will leave Early Access and launch in its full 1.0 version on October 15, 2026, for PC and PlayStation 5. The announcement marks the end of a development journey that began with the game's Early Access debut on Steam in January 2024.

The survival action RPG has steadily grown thanks to a series of major content updates and extensive community feedback, helping it become one of the most successful indie survival games of recent years. The full release will bring the complete experience to PC players while also marking the title's long-awaited debut on Sony's current-generation console.

To celebrate the announcement, Keen Games released a new trailer showcasing some of the content planned for Version 1.0. Among the highlights is a massive floating island supported by enormous stone pillars and connected to the world below through several platforms, hinting at a substantial new area to explore. The update will also introduce improvements to onboarding for new players, platform optimizations, expanded Adventure Sharing tools, additional logic systems and traps, as well as new enemy types and smarter AI behaviors.

Xbox has to wait

However, the news was accompanied by a delay for the Xbox version. While the game was originally planned to launch simultaneously across all platforms, Keen Games has pushed back the Xbox Series X/S edition to Spring 2027. According to CEO Jan Jöckel, the studio needs additional time to ensure the game meets its quality and performance standards on Microsoft's consoles.

"We never want to rush a platform release or compromise on quality," Jöckel said in the announcement, adding that development on the Xbox version is progressing steadily and that more information will be shared in the coming months.
