Steam's Open World Survival Crafting Fest 2024 is now online

Steam dropped a trailer for the event over on its YouTube channel (video embedded below) highlighting a handful of the games on sale during the Open World Survival Crafting Fest, but there are plenty that didn't make the trailer that are worth looking at for fans of open-world games or the survival and crafting genres.

Running from May 27th until June 3rd at 10am PT / 5PM UTC, the 2024 Steam Open World Survival Crafting Fest slashes prices on some of the genre's fan favourite games, like Terraria and No Man's Sky, as well as some underappreciated titles you may never have even heard of.

For starters, the popular survival ARPG base-builder hit, Tribes of Midgard, is now 70% off — just $5.99/5,99€/£4.49. Rust also makes an appearance at $19.99/19,99€/£17.49, down 50% from its normal price. Sons of the Forest, currently 20% off, is also really worth considering. It left Early Access three months ago to a flurry of positive reviews. If you're on the lookout for enjoyable co-op horror games, this one might fit the bill. The controversial yet popular monster-catching game Palworld is also discounted by 10%. Other notable offers include Project Zomboid at 33% off, Enshrouded at 20% off, and Pacific Drive at 20% off. Just to name a few, there are dozens more waiting for you!

Even if you are not a fan of survival crafting games, I would still recommend you checking it out since there are so many titles included in the event, you might unexpectedly find your long-wishlisted games on the discount shelf - I dare say like 50% games on Steam right now are more or less subjected to this genre.
