The latest dLcompare Weekly Recap brings ten of these titles together, highlighting what's happening across a gaming landscape that rarely stands still.

This week's selection includes the full releases of Valor Mortis, Ratatan, Planet Zoo 2 and Enshrouded, alongside the arrival of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse and over the hill. Meanwhile, Arknights: Endfield has reached Steam, and Chained Beasts and Scam With Your Friends are bringing new cooperative ideas to players. Here's why each game deserves attention.

Ten games featured in the latest dLcompare Weekly Recap (Oct. 11–18)

Chained Beasts — Gladiatorial combat with a cooperative twist

Released on October 15, Chained Beasts puts up to four players in the arena as chained-together gladiators. Teammates must fight enemies while dealing with the physical chaos caused by their shared restraints, turning positioning and coordination into essential parts of combat. Its combination of roguelike progression, cooperative brawling and slapstick mishaps gives it a distinctive multiplayer hook. Its recent launch is the main reason to check it out now.

Valor Mortis — A dark Soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner

Valor Mortis launched on October 13, bringing a first-person Soulslike from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner. Set in an alternate Napoleonic era overrun by supernatural horrors, it follows a resurrected soldier who must battle grotesque enemies and uncover a conspiracy threatening humanity. Its parry-focused combat and unusual historical setting have helped distinguish it from other challenging action games. The timing is particularly relevant: the developers released the game's first update on October 16, just days after launch. That combination of a new release and early post-launch support makes it one of the week's notable action games.

Ratatan — The spiritual successor to Patapon reaches version 1.0

Ratatan has reached a major milestone. The rhythm-based roguelike action game left Early Access on October 14, with its full release arriving alongside versions for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. In this game, players command colorful units by issuing musical commands, combining rhythmic timing with side-scrolling battles and roguelike progression. Version 1.0 adds the final story episodes, new boss encounters and the last world, allowing players to reach the story's conclusion. The developers have also acknowledged launch issues and announced planned fixes, making the first days after release an important period for the game.

Arknights: Endfield — The Arknights universe expands onto Steam

Arknights: Endfield made its official Steam debut on October 14, giving PC players another way to access the 3D real-time RPG set in the Arknights universe. Unlike the original game's tower-defense format, Endfield combines exploration, squad-based combat and industrial construction on the frontier world of Talos-II. Its Steam arrival is the key development here, expanding its PC presence and making the game more accessible to players who prefer Valve's platform. The timing also coincides with new version-related announcements and account-linking features, adding to the activity surrounding the game.

Feed The Cups — When running a café becomes a team sport

Feed The Cups offers a different kind of challenge, replacing monsters and bosses with impatient customers, complicated orders and the pressure of keeping a beverage business running smoothly. Players must prepare drinks, manage their workflow and coordinate with their teammates to prevent the operation from descending into chaos. Its appeal lies in the way ordinary service tasks become a demanding cooperative experience. It is a natural fit for players who enjoy chaotic multiplayer games where communication and teamwork matter as much as individual skill.

over the hill — A scenic off-road adventure finally launches

Released on October 14, over the hill is the latest driving adventure from Funselektor Labs, the studio behind art of rally. Instead of chasing lap times, players explore wilderness inspired by real-world landscapes, driving classic off-road vehicles from the 1960s through the 1980s. The game's launch follows substantial anticipation: its earlier Steam demo attracted more than half a million players, while its wishlist count surpassed 1.2 million before release. Its arrival therefore represents one of the week's most anticipated indie launches, particularly for players who prefer exploration and relaxed driving to competitive racing.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse — The vampire hunters return

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launched on October 15, bringing Konami's celebrated franchise back with a new 2D action-adventure developed in collaboration with Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the teams associated with Dead Cells.

Set in Paris in 1499, the game follows Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, as she battles monsters and explores a city overrun by supernatural threats. Its exploration-focused design, gothic environments and iconic Vampire Killer whip reconnect the series with its side-scrolling roots while introducing a new protagonist. The launch is particularly significant for fans who have been waiting for another major entry in the franchise. Its arrival also makes this a notable week for classic action-platforming series.

Scam With Your Friends — A co-op comedy about running a scam operation

Scam With Your Friends entered Steam Early Access on October 15. Developed by JakeHub and Metater, the cooperative comedy simulation asks players to operate a fictional scam call center, deceive AI-controlled callers and meet daily financial targets while trying to keep their increasingly chaotic workplace under control. The game's distinctive selling point is its use of voice-driven interactions and improvised conversations, turning each call into an unpredictable comedy scenario. Its Early Access debut has brought the concept to a wider audience, making it one of the more unusual multiplayer releases of the week. Importantly, the scams target fictional, AI-controlled characters rather than real victims.

Planet Zoo 2 — A new generation of zoo management

Planet Zoo 2 arrived on October 13, giving fans of Frontier Developments' management series a new opportunity to build and operate their dream wildlife parks. Players can create habitats for a broad range of animals, including fully aquatic and flying species, while balancing animal welfare, visitor satisfaction and the financial demands of running a zoo. One of the sequel's most notable additions is the ability to take the experience beyond traditional zoo construction by releasing animals into expansive wildlife reserves. That feature broadens the familiar management formula and gives players a new long-term objective. Its release makes it one of the week's biggest options for simulation fans.

Enshrouded — The survival adventure reaches version 1.0

After an extended Early Access period, Enshrouded reached its full 1.0 release on October 15. Keen Games' survival action RPG combines resource gathering, crafting, base building, exploration and combat in a fantasy world threatened by the mysterious Shroud. The full release is a major milestone for a game that has spent years evolving alongside player feedback. Version 1.0 introduces the completed release experience, including the developers' final launch additions, while subsequent hotfixes on October 15 and 16 addressed issues such as crashes and world-setting configuration. For returning players, this is an opportunity to experience the game at its full-release milestone; for newcomers, it is a natural moment to jump into its dangerous world.
