Diablo 4 has officially gone gold

The Diablo 4 development process is moving forward at a very fast speed after the last open beta. The upcoming action role-playing game from Activision Blizzard looked great during the beta event and thousands of players could explore a new open-world version of the world of Sanctuary that is more realistic and dark. Diablo 4 will pit players once more against the forces of evil in an attempt to save the world from demonic corruption. This time, Lilith is the main antagonist and players will be able to dig much deeper into the story of a world that has served as the battlefield of a cruel war between the forces of Heaven and Hell.

More than a sequel to Diablo 3

Diablo 4 will launch this summer on consoles and PC and the game is significantly different from previous installments in the series. Not only it does feature an open world for players to explore, player versus player content, cooperative gameplay, world events, and more, but it also feels more similar to Diablo Immortal than to previous installments in the series. The most significant change is that the camera is closer to the action and the area that shows on the screen is smaller. Although this is something that not everyone likes, Diablo 4 is built to offer a more lasting experience than its predecessors and it will offer different progression systems and plenty of things to do once you are done with the campaign other than running randomly generated dungeons over and over.

Activision Blizzard has received a lot of feedback during the beta events and it has announced changes to adapt certain aspects of the game, but Diablo 4 is mostly ready for release. In fact, the game has reached Gold status recently according to the developer, and it's now on the way to being mass-produced. It's likely that you will have to download a sizeable day one patch before playing Diablo 4 but everything indicates that the game won't be late for its appointment with players on June 6, 2023.
