Civilization VII updates its post-launch roadmap
Firaxis Games is having more work than expected with Civilization VII. The latest installment in the most popular strategy series has some margin to be improved, especially when it comes to the functionality of its UI, which many players find lacking. The developer studio is set to improve the game since the very moment it was released and it has already deployed several patches. The post-launch development calendar has been changed in order to squeeze in more patches, giving priority to the addition of fixes and the introduction of quality-of-life changes that will improve player experience.
Two big updates are coming
Patch 1.1.0 will be released tomorrow and it will include several gameplay updates, improvements to the UI, and even a new Natural Wonder: the Bermuda Triangle. A second update is planned for this month and it will also bring new improvements to the user interface alongside new functionalities and a new Natural Wonder for players to discover in the game: Mount Everest. Firaxis intends to polish the game further down the road and you can expect to see more patches released in the upcoming months. The DLC content that is included in the Deluxe Edition of Civilization VII, which features new leaders, civilizations, and more, is still on track and it will be available soon.

The number of changes to the classic gameplay mechanics that Civilization VII introduces has made some fans reluctant but Firaxis Games doesn't plan on giving up with its new approach to the franchise. The studio even surprised everyone by announcing a VR version of the game that would be available for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S in the near future. You can always go back to Civilization VI if you don't like what the new game has to offer, but Firaxis seems to be quite confident about the potential of the changes introduced to the franchise with Civilization VII. It's up to you to decide which one you prefer. Just do not worry about the price of the game, you can always get the cheapest Civilization VII digital code with our comparator.
