Borderlands 3: No new characters in DLC

Announced more than a month ago, Borderlands 3 has been making announcements ever since. With a launch scheduled for September 13, information about the game comes at a steady pace. After discovering the gameplay of Borderlands 3, we recently learned that the game would only involve micro-transactions for cosmetic purposes. Today, we learn a little more about the Season Pass, including the DLC it contains.

First, the Borderlands 3 Season Pass will be included in the Super Deluxe Edition, but will also be available for those who only have purchased the standard edition. It will contain, in addition to a weapon trinket and a grenade mod, a weapon skin responding to the sweet name of "Butt Stallion" and four DLC which content remains to be clarified. However, according to Randy Pitchford, the DLC will not contain additional characters, as it was the case for Borderlands 2, but evolutions for the four characters in the game. The reason given is to allow the players to continue their adventure with their character, and therefore their progression, rather than starting from scratch with new ones. One can imagine that these DLCs should contain new missions, weapons, and new areas. For now, the official website is simply talking about "four stories" and "additional missions and challenges". It will take a little longer to learn more about the content of Borderlands 3 Season Pass, including these four stories. Even if the release date of the Season Pass is not yet known precisely, we already know that the Butt Stallion will be available when the game launches and that all the DLC should be out "by September 2020".
