Xenoblade Chronicles 3 continues the open-world RPG adventure begun by the first two games.

In the near future, two powerful countries are at war with each other: the technologically advanced nation of Keves and the ether-oriented nation of Agnus. Each side will send their “off-seers,” individuals whose magical flutes can call to the souls of the dead.

The story will follow two off-seers from each nation—Noah and Mio. Accompanied by their friends, both take part in an adventure story with the central theme of “life.”

Noah — one of the central protagonists who is a soldier and off-seer for Keves. He mourns those lost in battle with his flute
Lanz — Noah’s ally, who wields a greatsword that doubles as a shield
Eunie — a sardonic childhood friend of Lanz and Noah who can heal her allies
Mio — the second protagonist, a soldier and an off-seer from Agnus
Taion — Mio’s smart and insightful friend who fights using tactics
Sena — an Agnus soldier who possesses incredible strength despite her small size.

Together, these two groups of strangers will become part of a grander tale in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
