Vampire Survivors takes us to feudal Japan in new DLC

Vampire Survivors keeps the ball rolling by bringing us a new DLC launching next week. Titled Legacy of the Moonspell, it takes place in an alternate dimension and brings with it a new snow-covered stage, new characters, new monsters to fight, and of course, new weapons to kill them with. 

Here is how developer poncle describes the DLC:

"In eastern lands, a clan has fallen. The Moonspell, once vigilant guardians of a sorcerous valley nestled in the mountains, have been overrun by hordes of yokai and oni. Though treacherous, this hive of spectral activity may provide some clue as to the location of a vampire. If not, at least it’ll be entertaining to defeat thousands of wayward spirits in the process."

The new stage is called Mt. Spellmoon, and is seemingly enormous. The action takes place in several environments: a snow-covered mountain, a village of spirits, and a Japanese castle. As usual, expect to be swarmed by monsters as you traverse these areas.

Four of the eight characters have been described: Miang Moonspell, a disciple of the fallen Moonspell clan and your typical anime action hero; Menya Moonspell, an elder and extraordinarily powerful member of the Moonspell clan; Syuuto Moonspell, a scruffy Moonspell exile who practices the dark and forbidden new moon magic, and; Babi-Onna, a charming geisha-like figure who has come back to life to wreak vengeance on the undead. New weapons include the Silver Wind staff, the Four Seasons orbs, the shadowy Summon Night, and the Mirage Robe kimono.  

It’s fairly notable that this DLC comes weeks after poncle released The Tiny One update, which also introduced a new stage.
