Street Fighter 6 reveals its World Tour and avatar system
Street Fighter 6 will be a game-changer for the fans of the iconic fighting series. The game will introduce a new host of gameplay mechanics that set it apart from its predecessors and even most of its competitors. Until now, the series only offered you the possibility of fighting against other opponents in different types of matches. Whether you were exploring the story mode or any of the multiplayer modes, you were restricted to using the characters from the franchise. Street Fighter 6 radically changes that by allowing you to create your own avatar to explore the World Tour as you please and fight against others.
Capcom has shed some light on these features in a new Street Fighter 6 video that you can watch below.
Street Fighter 6's World Tour allows you to create a customized avatar that will be the protagonist of this mode. You can use it to navigate different locations, interact with a variety of characters, unlock bonuses and customization options, and even participate in challenging fights. From thugs to nasty-looking refrigerators, you will have to prove your skill against a wide range of opponents. You can even seek legendary characters so they become your masters in the martial arts and teach you their signature moves.
The World Tour is totally different from anything seen in the series so far and vaguely reminisces of games like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, where you can progress by taking on different missions and performing different activities. The best thing about the avatar system is that you will be able to take your character, with its customized set of movements, to the Battle Hub to participate in challenging combats against other players.
These unique features will definitely make Street Fighter 6 stand over its competitors. But if you are not sure about them, you might want to try the demo that is currently available and discover it by yourself.
Street Fighter 6 will launch on June 1 for PS, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and Capcom has already revealed what characters will be present in the first two DLCs coming after launch. You can also check out the best price to buy your Street Fighter 6 code for any platform with our comparator.
