You'll play as Eve, the 7th member of the Airborne team sent to the Planet Earth on a mission to reclaim it from Naytiba. The demo's duration will end when you reach the first boss encounter in the game, which serves as an introductory mission to familiarize yourself with the game's mechanics and gameplay. After finishing the demo, you'll be able to transfer your save data to the full game upon its release.
