During its Summer 2026 Special Broadcast on June 27, developer Shift Up officially announced an upcoming collaboration between Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Atlus’ legendary Persona series. Scheduled for release later in 2026, this high-profile crossover shattered expectations by targeting the entire modern franchise rather than just a single entry. The official teaser prominently showcased iconic imagery from Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5, exciting fans who are used to the standard Persona 5 Royal mobile collaborations.

P3, P4, and P5 Icons Clash in the Ultimate Teaser Trailer

The brief teaser trailer seamlessly blended NIKKE's slick aesthetic with Atlus' signature stylized visuals. It prominently displayed the clock face of Persona 3’s Dark Hour, the cathode-ray television set representing Persona 4, and the Phantom Thieves’ trademark top hat logo from Persona 5, all set to an energetic, EDM-infused soundtrack.

While Shift Up has not yet confirmed an exact launch date, the event is expected to roll out in late Q3 or early Q4 of 2026, following the conclusion of NIKKE's massive "Wave to You" summer campaign.

Playable Characters Fans Can Expect in the New NIKKE Banner

The announcement has triggered intense community speculation regarding the playable roster. Because NIKKE is a tactical shooter featuring distinctive back-view shooting animations, fans are debating which characters will adapt best to the gunplay. Female characters like Persona 3’s android Aigis, Persona 4’s detective Naoto Shirogane, and Persona 5’s Makoto or Ann are considered frontrunners for the gacha banners.

Male protagonists like Joker and Yu Narukami may also appear as story NPCs. Following successful past crossovers with NieR: Automata and Stellar Blade, this ambitious multi-game Persona alliance is shaping up to be one of NIKKE’s biggest and most anticipated gaming events of the year.
I'm not an expert on the Persona series, but the teaser with the three titles is pretty cool. In NIKKE, it will probably bring new characters, special missions, and a limited-time event.

This feels like an event designed to encourage big spending. There will surely be limited-edition characters and tempting cosmetics, but it also looks like a very carefully crafted collaboration.

I'm really curious to see which characters they choose. If they include Aigis, Rise, or Ann, the event could become a magnet for fans of both series.

If the event brings its own story and not just skins, it can far surpass other gacha collaborations that feel empty.

From a marketing perspective, it's a perfect move. Persona has a huge fan base, and Nikke knows exactly how to capitalize on that.

The choice of Persona seems logical. The aesthetics of the two franchises work naturally together; the execution remains to be seen.
