Shadows of Change is the new Total War: Warhammer III DLC

Total War: Warhammer III is a true masterpiece that completes one of the best trilogies in the strategy genre. This is especially true if you are a fan of Games Workshop's tabletop miniature game, but if you are not, the game still delivers a noteworthy experience with massive armies fighting to death on a battlefield. It does not matter which of the multiple factions available in the game you choose to play, each of them offers you a unique way of experiencing a challenging campaign that pits you against countless enemies. Following the release of the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC, developer Creative Assembly is launching a new expansion that is more along the lines of Champions of Chaos.

Fear the powers of the shadows

Total War: Warhammer III - Shadows of Change is a new piece of content that includes four characters that will significantly change the way you play the game. The DLC features three Legendary Lords – The Changeling (Tzeentch), the Jade Dragon Yuan Bo (Grand Cathay), and Mother Ostankya (Kislev) – along with Legendary Hero The Blue Scribes (Tzeentch). The studio has also revealed some of the novelties these characters will bring to the game in terms of gameplay. The Changeling is a shapeshifting stalker capable of copying the powers and shape of any legendary character he defeats or forms an alliance with. Subterfuge and trickery are his favorite strategies and he takes it to the extreme even refusing to conquer settlements. Instead, he can sneak in malicious cults that will grant his faction benefits by constructing symbiotic or parasitic buildings. These can be used to reap benefits from your opponents in the form of extra income and faction gains or hinder their progress by spreading corruption and wreaking havoc. This unique character can also use his shapeshifting powers to set in motion Schemes that will eventually grant him exceptional rewards while tampering with other factions' plans.

If you are a follower of Tzeentch in Total War Warhammer III you will also be able to add a new Legendary Hero to your armies with Shadows of Change. The Blue Scribes are a pair of Blue Horrors that have access to a randomized list of powerful spells at the beginning of every battle which is randomized again every time they cast a spell. As servants of the god of Magic, the more spells are cast around them, the more powerful they become.
