Play as Lady Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition

If you thought you were done with Resident Evil Village, you’re dead wrong. Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which is now available for pre-order. Check out the announcement trailer here:

The Gold Edition comes with tons of new content. Titled the Winters Expansion, this DLC has three major features.

The first is that you can now play the entire Resident Evil Village from the third-person perspective. Just like the original Resident Evil Games, you can now see over Ethan’s shoulder as you fight your way through the monster-infested village.  

But there’s more. The DLC dramatically expands the Mercenaries mode with the subtitle “Additional Orders.” Now you can play as three characters: Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. With his arsenal of weapons, the ability to call down airstrikes, and boulder-smashing punch, Chris makes a formidable warrior even against the evil residents of the village. Karl Heisenberg wreaks havoc with his giant hammer and can use magnetism to enhance his attacks or hurl objects at foes. Finally, fan-favorite Lady Dimitrescu can slice enemies to ribbons with her long claws, pick up and slam them into the ground, and summon her daughters to fight for her. 

The DLC will also introduce two new stages teeming with foes: the Bloody River and the Bloody Village. Lastly, we also get an entirely new campaign called Shadows of Rose, starring Ethan’s daughter, Rosemary Winters. According to the description, as she is “struggling to come to terms with her innate special powers, she decides to dive into the world of the Megamycete's consciousness, or the ‘realm of consciousness,’ to seal them.

What she discovers is an extraordinary world far from the reality of the past. A collection of memories of "that village" absorbed by the Megamycete.”

The Winters Expansion DLC and the Resident Evil Gold Edition, which contains the DLC, will launch October 28 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam. Get a Resident Evil Village PS key ahead of the launch from our comparator.
