No Man's Sky keeps receiving meaningful content updates
For the last nine years, Hello Games has been expanding the universe of No Man's Sky with new content. The studio has released a plethora of updates that have significantly improved many aspects of the game, from multiplayer to VR. However, a majority of these updates were focused on adding new content ranging from new planets for players to discover to pirates, new spaceships, events, and more. The studio's commitment to its creation is worthy of praise, especially because every bit of content released for No Man's Sky since the game is available has been completely free. Owning the base game gives you access to all the enhancements and novelties without additional payments or microtransactions, which is something rarely seen nowadays.
Bigger than ever
No Man's Sky continues to receive free updates and it does not look like the situation is going to change anytime soon. The latest one, Worlds Part II, is especially significant, as it introduces new terrain and lighting systems that provide an increased level of detail and a multitude of new planets to explore, including gas giants. The new technology added by the studio allows the creation of huge oceans, which are a new element that enriches underwater exploration. The update also introduces new quests for players to take on and new alien creatures to be found. You can have a sneak peek at all that the Worlds Part II update has to offer in the official presentation video right below.
The update also adds a feature that the community of No Man's Sky players has been requesting for a long while: a button to sort inventory. You can now sort out your inventory by name, type, value or colour with a single click. Say goodbye to endless hours trying to organize everything! There's also a new custom mode that sets the universe to "abandoned" and removes all alien lifeforms. This makes the survival experience more challenging and lonelier than ever.
With the Worlds Part II update, No Man's Sky expands beyond the imaginable for any other title offering players one of the most engaging experiences in the genre. You can check out the full patch notes here if you want all the details. Of course, Hello Games doesn't plan to stop there, and it's already preparing more content to add to the game in future updates. We can't wait to discover what the studio has in mind.
