Dragon Age The Veilguard has a release date
It's official. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming next October. The release date for BioWare's upcoming RPG was revealed yesterday with a spectacular video that has left many of us wondering why the studio didn't show that kind of footage earlier. Overall, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will introduce many significant changes to the popular franchise that will make it very different from its predecessors. The lack of an open world to explore as well as players not being able to control companions directly in combat are two features that have caused a big controversy in the community of fans that follows the series.
While many are wondering if the new Dragon Age is a worthy successor of Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, it's worth saying that the series has evolved quite a bit since Dragon Age: Origins was released. Each of the games in the series offers a new setting with different characters and a brand new storyline, although some of the companions you recruit in your travels serve as the key element to connect certain parts of the stories that shape the series. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be no different on this matter, even though it introduces a brand new group of unique companions that will join players in their adventure.
Most of these doubts and concerns about the game's features and novelties have been left aside with the announcement of the release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Coming on October 31
In just a couple of months Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be fully playable on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and we will finally find out if the game lives up to the huge expectations generated. Perhaps, the most important question about the game is if BioWare has learned anything about its huge fiasco with Anthem. The studio may be one of the best at creating exciting stories but that alone is not enough to make a good game.
Whether long-time fans of the franchise can accept the new gameplay changes coming in Dragon Age: The Veilguard shouldn't be relevant if the game delivers a solid and engaging experience. In any case, you can rest assured that our comparator allows you to buy Dragon Age: The Veilguard at the best price whenever you are ready to play it.
