The release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard in numbers

The game was released yesterday on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and there were high expectations about its performance and results. Those are several thousand more players than Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which had held the record previously. It's an excellent start for a game, especially with a weekend ahead. The overall reception seems to be positive, especially regarding gameplay. The renewed focus on the main character seems to appeal to many players who were doubtful about not being able to control companions directly.
