BioWare shares launch trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard
BioWare and Electronic Arts have shared the Dragon Age: The Veilguard launch trailer. The video gives an overview of the world of Thedas, which is facing dark days under the threat of two ancient, malevolent gods. It also showcases some gameplay, featuring magic and creatures that will stand in the way of Rook, the one tasked with saving the world.
In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players must save Thedas and unite the Veilguard—your team of seven companions, each with rich lives and deep backstories. As the leader, you can choose from different races, combat classes, custom appearances, and playstyles. The adventure was designed to deliver what BioWare does best: rich storytelling, intricate fantasy world-building, strong bonds of companionship, and a world where your choices matter.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Launch Trailer
Dragon Age is a beloved series, and ever since Dragon Age: Inquisition, players have been eagerly awaiting a new game. Dragon Age: The Veilguard went through many ups and downs during its nearly ten years of development, including a name change—it was previously called Dreadwolf. BioWare promises an epic experience, worthy of the series. The first trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard initially sparked doubts about its release. Since then, the company has completely shifted its marketing tone, showing a darker world full of dangers.
The RPG will offer various accessibility options and five difficulty levels. According to the developers, the goal is to deliver a highly customizable experience, enjoyable for both those who just want to enjoy the story and those seeking significant challenges. The difficulty modes in Dragon Age: The Veilguard range from Storyteller, Keeper, Adventurer, Underdog, and Nightmare. The game will also feature a modular difficulty setting called Unbound, where players can tweak aspects of gameplay such as enemy aggression, damage, health, and resistance.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes place after Inquisition. In this new RPG, Solas, the Dreadwolf and elven god from legend seeks to tear down the Veil that separates Thedas from the demon world, aiming to restore immortality and glory to his people—even at the cost of countless lives. However, his ritual goes awry, and his worst fears come true, unleashing two of his most ancient and powerful adversaries. They seek only to finish what they began millennia ago, complete and absolute domination of our world.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches on October 31, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. If you're ready to dive into BioWare's fantasy RPG, check out our price comparator for the cheapest Dragon Age: The Veilguard CD key and secure your journey through Thedas.
