Massive ban wave hits ARC Raiders as cheating pushes players away
ARC Raiders has been gaining attention as a stylish and tense extraction shooter, but its growing cheating problem is starting to threaten that momentum. Like many PvPvE games, ARC Raiders relies heavily on fair fights, risk, and trust between players. When cheating enters the mix, the entire experience begins to break down, and many players feel that the game’s state is being overshadowed by frustration rather than excitement.
Cheating is a serious issue for ARC Raiders because of how the game is built. Losing gear hurts, and every encounter matters. When players suspect aimbots, wallhacks, or movement exploits, deaths no longer feel earned. Instead of learning from mistakes, players feel robbed. For a game still trying to build long-term hype, this kind of frustration can slow growth and push people away before launch.
Streamers are calling out the cheating problem
Several high-profile streamers have been very vocal about the situation. Shroud openly said he ran into multiple cheaters in a single day and questioned whether it was worth playing in that state. TheBurntPeanut went even further, saying he might quit the game entirely if the cheating and stream sniping problems continue. Moments like these spread fast online, and when big names lose patience, it sends a strong signal to the wider community.
The developers at Embark Studios are clearly aware of the risk. Over the past weeks, they have stepped up their response with stronger detection systems, server-side fixes, and exploit patches. They also acknowledged that streamers are being targeted more often and said they are working on tools to reduce stream sniping and abuse during live broadcasts.
Most importantly, Embark recently launched a massive ban wave that removed a large number of confirmed cheaters from the game. While cheating has not disappeared completely, players reported a noticeable improvement after the bans went live. Embark has made it clear this is not a one-time action, but an ongoing effort.
ARC Raiders is still in a critical phase. If cheating is not kept under control, the game risks losing the positive momentum it built early on. But the fast reaction, clear communication, and strong ban waves show that Embark understands what is at stake and is fighting hard to protect the future of the game. While the devs are taking care of the cheaters out there, we take care of the prices. Don’t forget to use our price comparison tool to find the best prices for ARC Raiders.
