Capcom reveals the Scarlet Forest, one of the impressive environments in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Monster Hunter series has grown a lot over the years. With a significant increase in its popularity when Monster Hunter: World was released on PC, the once PlayStation-exclusive series is now available to play on several platforms. Monster Hunter: Rise and its Sunbreak expansion became big hits on Nintendo Switch for example. Yesterday's Gamescom Opening Night Livestream came as a new opportunity to show more of Monster Hunter Wilds to the huge fan base of the series, and Capcom revealed a brand-new video that focuses on the threats that players will have to face while hunting in the Scarlet Forest. Not only does the video show the beautiful environment, but also a brand new monster, Temnoceran Lala Barina. This gigantic spider has covered in red webs its hunting grounds, and patiently awaits for prey to trigger her trap. Deliriously nimble and extremely ferocious, this new monster will pose a significant challenge, even to experienced hunters.

Call for aid

The latest Monster Hunter Wilds video also shows more monsters and amazing scenarios. It's worth noticing that the game will feature a large variety of biomes, each with its own unique flora and fauna. You will be able to explore these alone, but also call for the help of three other hunters, even in a single-player game. The new Support Hunter system allows you to use flares to call for the help of up to three NPCs or players if you are having difficulties at any point in your adventure.

Monster Hunter Wilds will introduce many game-changing features to take the franchise to the next level in terms of gameplay in order to offer a more engaging experience to the fans.
