Arrowhead officially fixes Helldivers 2 and resumes its expansion plans
Arrowhead Game Studios has had a tough time with the release of Helldivers 2. The unexpected success of the third-person cooperative shooter has caught everyone off guard and this has caused many issues. Ultimately, the studio decided to limit the number of concurrent players per server to prevent congestion issues and the strategy has paid off. The current server limit is at 800,000 players and the game is working without any problems.
Helldivers 2 offers a thrilling multiplayer experience where players take the role of soldiers. They are immersed in a conflict where fight for Super Earth and contribute to the war effort working in small groups alongside other players to complete missions. One of the most interesting features of the game is that Arrowhead has a team directly working in real-time to react to players' actions and modify the events to provide the best possible experience.
Moving on to other things
With the server overcrowding problem solved, Arrowhead Game Studios has confirmed that it's now actively moving on and focusing on the post-launch content that it had prepared for Helldivers 2. The studio has also revealed such info via a publication from game director Johan Pilestedt on X. However, the original roadmap for the game is bound to suffer significant changes for the good since the studio has more ambitious plans for Helldivers 2 given the huge support that it's receiving from the players.
I'm really happy and proud of the @arrowheadgs team for an amazing Achievement, the servers handled all @helldivers2 players this weekend without problem.

Now we have time to focus on improvements to the title and resume our original plan. Many exciting things upcoming!
We will soon know more about the upcoming additions coming to Helldivers 2 in the future. Meanwhile, players can focus on earning Super Credits for the Warbonds and dealing with other in-game issues derived from the gameplay. Recently there have been many players exclusively focusing on completing extermination missions, which ultimately leads to losing the war since many types of missions need to be completed to achieve such a goal and you don't contribute to the war effort by completing standalone missions. Arrowhead has already made defense missions easier in an attempt to mitigate this but the studio will need to keep an eye on this matter.
Helldivers 2 offers the best cooperative multiplayer shooting experience of 2024 and its impressive numbers back that claim. The game will surely become even better once the post-launch content train begins its journey, which will happen soon.
