ACER unveils Radeon RX 9060 XT OC with 16GB of memory
In a decision likely to frustrate AMD, Acer has officially rolled out its Radeon RX 9060 XT Nitro graphics card. This announcement precedes AMD's Computex press event, suggesting that AMD’s partners should refrain from showcasing their new Radeon products.
@momomo_us was the first to notice this blunder in Acer's Computex preview. Essentially, Acer has released a premature announcement of its own product, introducing it ahead of AMD’s official reveal of the Radeon RX 9060 XT. Acer has confirmed the existence of a 16GB Nitro OC variant of AMD’s RX 9060 XT, which boasts support for “8K” resolutions. While an unusual selling point for a mid-range GPU, it is technically accurate. Some retailers anticipate 8GB variants as well, although this is not mentioned in the announcement.

The displayed image seems to be the same one that emerged about two weeks ago, also shared by the same leaker, further strengthening the belief that Acer leaked its own card. It appeared alongside the NITRO Arc A380 Low Profile GPU, which also hadn’t been seen prior.

Acer's leak does not provide comprehensive insights into AMD's forthcoming mid-range RDNA 4 graphics card. Fortunately, these details have already surfaced online. The RX 9060 XT is expected to utilize the Navi 44 GPU, featuring up to 2048 Stream Processors and two memory options: 8GB or 16GB. AMD has yet to confirm the release date or pricing, but the launch will likely follow shortly after Computex. If AMD allows media time for reviews, mid-June seems plausible.
AMD’s Computex 2025 press conference is scheduled for May 21st at 11 am Taipei time, which equates to 8 pm on May 20th, Pacific Time. The release of the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT is on the horizon. We eagerly anticipate further details about this GPU that will be shared at that time.
