Enter a world infested by vampires and get ready to fight them to the last breath in Redfall. This small island town in Massachusetts has been assaulted by a legion of vampires that intends to make it its territory. By blocking the sun, they have condemned the inhabitants to eternal darkness, and they are free to roam the streets hunting for human prey. As one of the few survivors, you find yourself isolated from the exterior and with a horde of bloodthirsty creatures that want to have you as a snack.

Fortunately, you are one of those rare individuals that want to fight back. The vampires are the product of mysterious experiments gone awry, and they have exceptional abilities, but you are not short of them on your side.

Devinder Crousely is a cryptozoologist with a knack for inventions with a lot to prove and many weapons of his creation to test. Layla Ellison is an engineering student that gained amazing telekinetic abilities when she worked at a research facility. Remi de la Rosa is a seasoned combat engineer that can put her experience, along with her robot cohort, Bribón, to the best use. Jacob Boyer is a former sharpshooter that has gained a vampiric eye and can control a spectral raven.

Any of these is more than capable of keeping the vampires at bay, but together they will be able to fight them back, find out what's really happening behind the scenes in Redfall, and stop this madness. Redfall features single-player and cooperative action for up to four players in an apocalyptic scenario. It's up to you to combine your abilities and weapon loadouts with your teammates to give the vampires a run for their money in this game full of action from the creators of Dishonored and Prey.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I swap between the four playable characters mid-mission to adapt to different combat scenarios?
No, character selection is locked at the start of each mission or when replaying a mission from the mission select screen. You must choose your character before starting the mission.
How does the 'Stake' mechanic function, and how is it essential to defeating vampires?
Staking is the primary method for permanently killing vampires. It requires a specific stake weapon and must be performed when a vampire is stunned or downed. Staking prevents vampire resurrection.
If I play solo, will enemy difficulty scale, or will the game always present the challenges designed for a squad of four players?
The game dynamically adjusts enemy numbers and health based on the number of players in the session, ensuring a balanced experience for solo or cooperative play.
What is the consequence of being 'Grappled' by a vampire, and how can I escape this status?
Being grappled leaves you vulnerable to a vampire's attack. You can escape by either dealing damage to the vampire or by receiving assistance from a teammate.
Does the environment play an active role in combat, or is it mostly static?
The environment is partially interactive; however, some elements can be utilized strategically. For example, some objects might be used as cover, and others might be destructible, influencing the battlefield.
How does the 'Sun' mechanic affect gameplay, and what strategies should I consider when the sun is out?
The sun is deadly to vampires. During sunny periods, vampires are significantly weakened and vulnerable. Smart players will use this to their advantage.
Can I expect a variety of enemy types, and what are the main differences between each type?
Yes, Redfall features varied enemy types, including vampires and human cultists, each with their own attack patterns, weaknesses, and special abilities.
How does the 'Nest' mechanic work, and what is its significance?
Nests are vampire lairs that spawn stronger enemies and must be destroyed to control areas of the map, and to prevent spawning.
Is there a persistent world, or are missions isolated instances?
Redfall offers a semi-open world that players can explore between missions. Completing missions and objectives influences the world state, as you progress through the game.
What is the role of 'safehouses', and how do they impact gameplay?
Safehouses act as player hubs. They provide a place to rest, resupply, change characters, and manage inventory, offering a respite from the vampire-infested world.

redfall is a rather interesting game, the choice of a city infested with vampires is nice without being really original. Despite everything, apart from its co op aspect which gives envy, we have the impression to be in front of a game a little limited, choice among 4 heroes, gameplay rather conventional. A nice game, but it won't have reinvented the genre

Bethesda is no longer a studio to be presented with their quality games, the detail really not bad is that we can not kill vampires with our bullets, we must go to the contact, the old way with a stake. There will also be some small puzzles present.

Assez mitigé sur le jeu, je préfère voir ce qu'il en sera véritablement avec sa sortie officielle. Dans tous les cas je vais le tester Day-One via le game pass et on verra ensuite si il mérite l'achat d'une clé.
I have mixed feelings about the game, I'd rather see what it will really be like with its official release. In any case I'll test it on Day-One via the game pass and then we'll see if it's worth buying a key.
