Deathloop is a first-person shooter in which two assassins, Colt and Julianna Blake, are trapped in a time loop on an isolated island called Blackreef. Every night, everything on the island returns to the situation it was the morning before, and the inhabitants lose all memories of what happened. The only thing Colt can do to escape from Blackreef and break the temporal loop is to get rid of every inhabitant of the island before the day ends. Luckily enough, he doesn't lose his memories when the day resets and he will have to use the knowledge gained in his successive attempts in order to plan ahead and achieve his goal. But ir won´t be as easy as that because Julianna will try to kill him, sending him back to the beginning again.
As Colt, you are free to decide what to do and how to solve the problems you encounter. After each death, the game lets you strengthen your character and your arsenal, and the knowledge that you gained about your targets allows you to develop a strategy. In Deathloop your only limitation is time, there is only one day to complete the whole task. Colt, besides ordinary weapons, has a variety of powers at his disposal such as hacking, telekinesis, etc. Thus, opponents can be defeated in many different ways.
Deathloop is a single-player game with an alternative online version. In this mode, a second player can play Julianna and attack Colt. Artificial Intelligence can also play her role, and the player impersonating Colt can allow other players to join the game anytime. Both Colt and Julianna have similar skills, but each of them has several unique ones. Deathloop's gameplay will be appreciated by fans of games such as Bioshock, Prey or Dishonored.
