This doesn't look bad as the beginning of a saga, but the story still holds many unknowns and possible branches. Fortunately, franchise Creative Director Chris Metzen has shed some light on the expansion and the saga in a recent interview.

The War Within has been designed to bring previous storylines together and it brings back iconic characters like Anduin, Thrall, Jaina, and Khadgar. The main goal of the expansion is to offer players a great experience and allow them to make meaningful choices. With a storyline that is more immersive than ever, the development team aims to somehow "prolong" the experience so it's part of a bigger saga. Until now, World of Warcraft expansions offered experiences that were kind of independent, and which changed a lot from one to another in terms of story and gameplay features. Hopefully, the Worldsoul Saga will offer a more streamlined experience while maintaining World of Warcraft fresh.
