World of Warcraft: The War Within beta kicks off tomorrow

World of Warcraft has been through some ups and downs in recent times. Blizzard's legal problems and its acquisition by Microsoft had effects on a company whose policies have been revised. These changes have also extended to the development of its most famous MMORPG, as not one but three expansions that form a saga were announced. Now, the first one will soon arrive, and World of Warcraft: The War Within is getting ready for its release. As it happened with previous expansions, Blizzard is opening a beta phase where players from all over the world will be able to try by themselves what the upcoming expansion has to offer.

The Worldsoul Saga begins

Back in April, the registration process to take part in World of Warcraft: The War Within beta was open. If you missed it, you can still gain access to the beta by purchasing the Epic edition of the expansion, which also includes several exclusive in-game items, 30 days of game time, and three days of early access to the expansion ahead of its release date. Blizzard has not revealed yet if the whole content in the expansion will be available during the beta but those who participate will surely have the opportunity to try the new gameplay systems, explore the new zones and dungeons, and eventually even fight raid bosses.

World of Warcraft: The War Within will introduce a new storyline, plenty of new quests, and exciting gameplay mechanics. Perhaps, the most significant ones in terms of gameplay are two new talent trees for every class that will open up plenty of new skills and interactions, and the Warbands, an account-wide progression system that lets you level up a group of characters together. These alone are worth exploring for World of Warcraft fans, especially those who are a bit tired of the content in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.

The release of World of Warcraft: The War Within is scheduled for this year, although Blizzard has yet to confirm a release date. Most likely, it will happen after the summer.
