AC Black Flag Resynced Update 1.0.7 Sets Sail With Plenty of Fixes

Update 1.0.7 is here to improve Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
Updates & Patches

Ubisoft has released Title Update 1.0.7 for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, continuing to refine the pirate adventure with a broad range of gameplay, quest, visual, and stability improvements. Alongside the technical changes, the update introduces a few new customization options—and an unexpectedly adorable addition to Edward Kenway’s hideout.

So, What's in the Patch?

One of the most useful new features gives players the option to hide Edward’s pistols. The weapons remain available during gameplay, but they no longer have to be visibly equipped while exploring the Caribbean. The change gives players more control over Edward’s appearance and complements the customization options introduced in earlier updates. Players can also disable visual effects produced by perks. Those effects can sometimes make Edward’s appearance more elaborate than intended, so the new setting allows players who prefer a cleaner look to switch them off.

The biggest surprise in the update is arguably the smallest. Somewhere in the Caribbean, players can discover a puppy that can be rescued and brought back to Edward’s Hideout. Ubisoft has not transformed Black Flag Resynced into a pet simulator, but the new companion provides a welcome bit of charm amid all the piracy, assassination and naval combat.

The bulk of Update 1.0.7 is dedicated to improving the overall experience. Naval gameplay receives attention in areas such as harpooning, enemy-ship spawning and regional progression, while boarding encounters have been adjusted to address inconsistent enemy behaviour. Combat and stealth scenarios have also been refined, including situations involving smoke bombs, air assassinations, suspicious enemies and haystack assassinations.

Several quests and activities have received targeted attention as well. The list includes Wayward Souls Rift, Upton Travers, Right-Hand Man, Everything is Permitted, The Sage’s Buried Secret, The Final Contract, A Proper Shipwright, and Vainglorious Bastards, with changes addressing progression issues, NPC behaviour and other mission-specific problems. The update also polishes parts of the game's presentation. World-map icons should behave more reliably after activities are completed, while various animation issues involving Edward, parkour and assassinations have been addressed. Photo Mode, Eagle Vision effects and Edward's hand animations while steering the Jackdaw have also received adjustments.

Ubisoft has also worked on stability and audio. Problems that could cause crashes when opening the Store or News panels or navigating Kenway’s Fleet have been addressed, alongside a rare PS5 issue involving out-of-bounds areas. Certain music tracks that failed to play after loading a save should now function correctly as well.

Accessibility has received some attention too. Missing menu narration and gameplay captions have been restored in affected situations. Several problems involving the game's colour-blind presets have also been corrected. On Steam Deck, meanwhile, enabling HDR should no longer result in a black screen.

The size of the update differs substantially between platforms. Xbox Series X/S requires approximately 15.26 GB, compared with 1.53 GB on PS5. PC players will need around 3.86 GB through Ubisoft Connect or 2 GB through Steam.

Update 1.0.7 is mostly about making Black Flag Resynced a smoother and more customizable experience. The game offers a new look at the classic adventure, with polished mechanics and plenty of novelties.
