Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League features unexpected surprises
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set in the same universe as the games in the Batman Arkham series. That's something expected since all of these games have been developed by the same studio. Rocksteady is well known for titles like Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Batman: Arkham Origins, but the death of the caped crusader left the studio orphan of heroes. Fortunately, it looks like villains can be even more popular than their antagonists, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has plenty of them. Not only will you be able to play Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Harley Quinn, but the game also features some other iconic villains that will be part of your adventure.
You won't be alone against Brainiac
We already know that the Penguin will have an important role in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. We could watch him converted into an arms dealer in a recent video. He will be the one to provide players with weapons powerful enough to reduce Brainiac's creatures to dust. But he is not the only other villain present in the game.
Rocksteady has revealed that the game will bring back Poison Ivy. This will come as a big surprise to the fans of the Batman Arkham series since she died in one of the games. But the studio seems to have everything tied down as it has explained that she will appear in child form because she left a sprout behind after her death.
The latest Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League development diary also reveals more details about the story while shedding some light on gameplay mechanics like the combo system. The video also introduces a cast of characters that will support the Suicide Squad in their fight against the corrupted heroes. Gizmo, Toyman, and Hack will provide vehicles, weapons, and information to your favourite villains so they can be one step ahead of the heroes.
The more we know about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the more is obvious that Rocksteady has taken its time to develop a game that is more than just a fancy beat'em up. You won't have to wait more to discover it by yourself since the release of the game is scheduled for February 2 on PC, PS5, and Xbox.
