Xbox launches custom gaming controllers ideal for Fallout fans
The Fallout franchise is currently experiencing a resurgence, largely due to the immense popularity of the television adaptation. As fans eagerly await the release of season 2, Microsoft has delighted them with the launch of a new Xbox accessory. These releases come in two versions: the Xbox Wireless Controller – Fallout Pip-Boy and the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Fallout Pip-Boy.
The design is inspired by the iconic in-game wrist-mounted computer, the Pip-Boy, created by the fictional company Vault-Tec. The front of the new controllers features the recognizable Health panel from the Pip-Boy's primary stats display. There are minor variations in the faceplate designs depending on which controller you choose.
This marks the second Fallout-themed Xbox controller released by Microsoft. A previous design, introduced in 2024, highlighted the beloved Vault Boy mascot. The standard Fallout Pip-Boy Xbox controller is currently available for pre-order at a price of $83 / £82.01 / 78,98€ from the Microsoft Store, but only for a limited time.
Additionally, this launch is part of the Xbox Design Lab initiative, offering both standard and Elite variants that can be fully customized. Customization options include changing button color schemes to reflect in-game factions, adding engravings, inserting metallic components for the triggers and D-pad, and more.
As with other special edition Xbox controllers, all functionalities of a standard Xbox Wireless and Elite Controller are included, such as the share button, a 3.5mm audio jack, and remappable controls. The Elite version also features adjustable-tension thumbsticks, a wraparound rubberized grip, and shorter hair trigger locks. Both controllers are compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PCs, and mobile devices via Bluetooth and official Xbox Wireless connectivity.
Pair your perfect controller with the impressive power of the Xbox Series X for unparalleled 4K gaming, faster load times, and next-gen features that truly enhance your gaming experience. Utilize our price comparison tool to discover the best offers for the Xbox Series X console today.
