Sonic Frontiers' release date unveiled

Although we have followed Sonic the Hedgehog in many adventures over the years, Sonic Frontiers will be significantly different from any other game in the series. It features an open world that we can explore as we please, and the game will also include an exciting storyline that will serve as a conducting theme for Sonic's endeavors. The combination of platforming mechanics with an open world in 3D makes the game unique in the franchise. Sonic Frontiers somehow reminisces of some Super Mario games. We don't know if SEGA wants to implement such a change for upcoming Sonic games, but it will be interesting to see how the blue hero fares in such a scenario. Until now, SEGA had been very secretive about the story in Sonic Frontiers, but the latest video, which accompanies the official announcement of the release date, allows us to get some insight into Sonic's future.

In Sonic Frontiers, our favorite blue hedgehog will explore every nook and cranny of the Starfall Islands while looking for the Chaos Emeralds. In this adventure, Sonic will meet some of his old friends and battle a horde of Dr. Eggman's minions that will try to stop him from thwarting the mad scientist's plans. In fact, the doctor already has enough in his hands, as he has lost control of some ancient technology that is causing many problems. As stated above, the video accompanies the announcement of the official release date for the game. Sonic Frontiers is slated for release on November 8, 2022. It will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
