Get Assassin’s Creed Origins for free this weekend

The weekend is almost here and have we got something for you to play with. To coincide with the 15th anniversary of the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Origins is now free to play for a limited time, from June 16-20 at 16:00 UTC. If you’re up for a trip to Egypt to explore a vast arid land rich in mythology and treasure, here’s your chance.

To get a free copy of Assassin’s Creed Origins, you have a choice of getting it from the Ubisoft Store or the Epic Games Store. Prior to 16:00 UTC today, you may pre-load the game and wait until it becomes active.

In the Ubisoft Store, log into Ubisoft Connect with your account and select Assassin’s Creed Origins. 

Similarly, in the Epic Games Store, select Assassin’s Creed Origins and download the game. Unfortunately, you can’t pre-load the game in the Epic Games Store, so you’ll have to wait until 16:00 UTC. Please note: it’s about 50 GB to download. 

Assassin’s Creed Origins has had an interesting journey. You play as Bayek, a medjay, the guardian of Egyptian traditions. As the title suggests, you will be the originator of the Brotherhood of Assassins that will prove so pivotal in world history.

Assassin’s Creed Origins changed the landscape of the series by featuring an enormous open world for players to explore. It also incorporated RPG gameplay, including player levels, skills, and gear you can loot. What’s more, a recent update has raised the graphics to 60 FPS for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S. This is a great time to revisit this classic entry in the series.
