What's in the Khaït Nebula update?
The Khaït Nebula: Stranger Skies update for Everspace 2 continues to expand the universe in the game with the fourth start system, the Khaït Nebula, which offers players plenty of new opportunities and a new storyline. Some of your friends will get you involved in a quest to find a treasure that will get you traveling across the nebula. You will meet a new companion, Khala the Navigator, who can create nodes through the world that will allow you to travel faster and gather additional information about remote locations. Khaït Nebula is home to a new faction, the Redeemers, a group of scientists and researchers who came first to the nebula looking for clues about The Ancients. Obsesses with their technology and dark powers, they now try to control the nebula and hunt unsuspecting travelers. Everspace 2 players also have access to a new spaceship class too, The Vindicator. It's a fast and maneuverable ship equipped with drones that can explode to slow down enemies.
With all those additions and plenty of bug fixes and tweaks, the Khaït Nebula: Stranger Skies update is already available for free to all Everspace 2 players. Developer Rockfish has also revealed that the next update will arrive in spring 2022. They plan on expanding the storyline and adding a new star system, new spaceships, and UI and text language support in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean for all content released so far.
