Everspace 2 expands its content with a new system

When it comes to adventuring in deep space, Everspace 2 already offers a vast universe to explore on your own as you take on plenty of enemies while piloting your spaceship. This fast-paced single-player game combines shooting and deep space exploration with RPG elements, allowing you to traverse the far reaches of space in search of profit and adventure. But developer Rockfish Games is not entirely happy with the number of star systems already present in the game, and it has just released the second significant update content for Everspace 2, Zharkov: The Vortex, which adds to the game a new star system, new missions and challenges, a new spaceship class, and more.

Zharkov: The Vortex is part of a massive update that includes plenty of bug fixes and enhancements to Everspace 2. This new system is probably the most dangerous place present in the game to date, and it's pretty common to find lightning storms or huge gas clouds as you explore it. This update also expands Everspace 2 storyline with a new chapter that will have you meeting old and new faces as you uncover the secrets that Zharkov hides. A new companion, Tareen, the Okkar trader, will help you manage the space in your home base more efficiently, expanding the storage capability and increasing the number of ships you can dock.

Zharkov: The Vortex also adds drone missions to Everspace 2, which will put your piloting skills to the test as you try to complete specific tasks with remote-controlled drones. If what you are looking for is a brand new spaceship, this update also adds the Vanguard. This fast and maneuverable recon ship can execute deadly attacks and boost its shields for powerful defensive capabilities.

Zharkov: The Vortex is already available for free to all the owners of Everspace 2. If you want to know more details about the update, please check out the official patch notes here.
