Civilization VI is free on Steam for a very limited time
NEWS Feb 13, 2019, 12:06 PM

Steam is really going to town to celebrate the launch of Civilization VI's expansion, Gathering Storm. You all probably know by now that every now and then they offer a game so you can try it for free during a weekend. We thought that the title of choice this weekend was Arma 3, as we announced yesterday, but it seems that Valve has decided to give some attention to Sid Meier's civilization-building franchise too.

You can already download and play Civilization VI for free on Steam. All you need to do is log in to your account (or create it if you don't have one) and visit the game page to install the game. The promotion is up for a very limited time, so you have just a day longer to decide if you like the game enough to buy it or not. If you like it, you can purchase it on Steam with a 70% off discount, but you can also check our comparator anytime to find the best price for it.

Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy game where you control and develop a civilization through the ages, expanding your territory and using military power, diplomacy or scientific advances to overpower your opponents and rule the world. Trying it for free is a great opportunity, especially if you consider that a new expansion for Civilization VI will launch tomorrow. As we explained yesterday, Civilization VI: Gathering Storm adds new mechanics to the base game, including natural disasters and climate change, as well as many other features.
