Arkane unveils mode retails about Redfall
Arkane is better known for the Dishonored and Prey series than for Deathloop, but the studio has a solid reputation as a game developer, and its games have many fans. When Redfall was announced, it was clear that the game was going to have a deep focus on cooperative gameplay. Defending the city of Redfall from the assault of a Vampire horde sounds like quite an appealing adventure for many players, especially when the action takes place in an open-world setting. Whether you play alone or join other players, Redfall promises lots of action in a dark environment and a tactical approach to combat with plenty of unique skills that allow you to take specific roles in each battle.
You can tag Redfall as a multiplayer game because you can play with up to four players, but Arkane has recently revealed that the game will not be so different from other titles created by them if you decide to play solo. Although four players can enjoy the type of experience that Redfall offers, the game still features a rich universe and a deep story that solo players will enjoy as much as if they were playing, let's say, Deathloop. The studio has based the development Redfall and its mechanics on the same pillars as its other games: a deep story and freedom of choice to approach every situation however you like.
Arkane has revealed more details about how the multiplayer games will work in Redfall. The progress in a particular campaign will be tied to the host that created it. For example, if you complete a quest on a game hosted by another player, it won't count as completed in your campaign. You will be able to repeat them once you host your own campaign. Conversely, the game will save your exp and the items you loot while in multiplayer games hosted by other players. Therefore, you always have the opportunity of experiencing the story in the proper order, no matter if you have joined any multiplayer games at some point.
Redfall still hides many secrets, but Arkane will offer us a deeper look into it in the coming months. Make sure to visit our comparator to find the best price for a Redfall PC key ahead of the release.
