    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 'Price Fluctuation' mechanic in Discounty impact the effectiveness of my discounting strategies?
Price Fluctuation introduces market volatility. The discount you offer might become more or less attractive based on this fluctuation. Anticipating and reacting to these changes is key to maximizing profits.
How does the 'Reputation' system affect the negotiation process with suppliers in Discounty?
A higher reputation gives you more leverage in negotiations. You'll get better prices, more favorable payment terms, and potentially exclusive access to better products. Low reputation makes suppliers less willing to work with you.
What is the primary difference between a 'Flash Sale' and a 'Clearance' discount strategy in Discounty?
Flash Sales are time-limited, designed to create a sense of urgency. Clearance sales aim to get rid of excess inventory, often offering larger discounts but over a longer period.
How does investing in 'Marketing Campaigns' directly interact with the 'Consumer Sentiment' in Discounty?
Successful marketing campaigns boost consumer sentiment, making your products more desirable. The specific type of marketing influences the degree and duration of this boost.
Can I predict the next 'Price Fluctuation' event, or is it entirely random in Discounty?
While the exact timing and magnitude of fluctuations may be partially random, certain in-game economic indicators and market trends give hints about potential upcoming shifts.
Does 'Supply Chain Management' in Discounty allow for the storage of items, or is it a purely transactional mechanic?
Yes, it involves storage. Efficient supply chain management includes managing inventory levels, ordering and receiving products, and ensuring you have enough stock to meet demand.
How does bankruptcy impact my competitors in Discounty's simulation?
When a competitor goes bankrupt, their products become unavailable, potentially increasing demand for your products. It can also open up opportunities to acquire their assets or hire their employees.
