Golden Light is an FPS game that defies nearly all description. A unique game that blends various genres, it’s a crazy roguelike shooter with horror elements, taking place in a Meat World, where you must survive by eating weapons and fighting props that will attack on sight. 

You start with an idyllic picnic with your female companion, only for the ground to open up and swallow her whole. You jump into the hole and find yourself in an underworld called the Gut, a place entirely made up of malignant, disgusting flesh. Somehow, you must find the girl and escape this demented place, before the evil intellect haunting this place gets you both. 

Explore various randomly-generated levels through different biomes, each designed to confuse and frighten you. Find keys in order to progress to the next location. Complete this three times, and you will be rewarded with a piece of your loved one.   

Beware, because all kinds of monsters dwell in the Gut. Each one is a shape-shifting creature that can take the form of a prop. Any chair, chest, decoration—even a key, can turn into a horrifying monster and start chasing you.

The gameplay mechanics are equally demented. All your weapons, like the axe and gun you use, are made of meat. You may need to take strange and unexpected actions to repair gear or improve your abilities. This may include eating your weapon or damaging yourself with it.
